Webster's Syllabary

The pdf file above is a version of Webster's Syllabary formatted in uppercase letters and a larger font than normal for young students, to aid their reading and reduce eyestrain. Below is shown the portion of the syllabary that was on a typical hornbook. Students using a hornbook were expected to work out the rest of the syllabary from the alphabet, which was also listed on the hornbook.

The pdf file above is a one page version of Webster's Syllabary formatted in both an uppercase and a lowercase version. It is for an older student that can easily read small text.
